TBMYO Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Tan’s TÜBİTAK 2219 Success Our university, Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO), Food Processing Department, Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Tan is carrying out an important research project at the University of Massachusetts in the United States (US) with the support she received from TÜBİTAK’s prestigious 2219 Postdoctoral Research Scholarship program.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Tan has been awarded 12 months of support by TÜBİTAK with her research titled “Design of novel dual antimicrobial loaded nanoemulsions for the treatment of bacterial wound biofilms, in vitro and in vivo applications”. This study aims to develop new solutions in the fight against chronic wounds.
Providing information about the project, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan stated that the study they will conduct at the University of Massachusetts will focus on the design of novel antimicrobial compounds and the preparation of suitable nanoemulsions in the fight against difficult-to-treat chronic wounds. He also emphasized that this research will increase the scientific recognition of Muş Alparslan University in the international arena and contribute to the development of new projects and collaborations. TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Fatih Şevgin congratulated Assoc.
