Great Success from Food Processing Department Students at Muş Alparslan University Technical Sciences Vocational School: 1st Food Science Event Held. Muş Alparslan University Technical Sciences Vocational School Food Processing Department students drew attention with their successful 1st Food Science Event. As part of the event, with the devoted work of 32 students for approximately one and a half months, a total of 27 different food products, 4 of which were original, were produced in 5 different categories. The organizer of the event, Lecturer Dr. Sefa IŞIK, stated that they focused on the goals of enabling students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and to gain self-confidence and develop their ability to work in a coordinated manner through this event. In the event sponsored by Mugi Markets and Rençberoğlu Peynircilik companies, important demands came from sector representatives for the commercial marketing of the products produced. Among the names supporting the organization were Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, Technical Sciences Vocational School Director Assistant Professor Fatih Şevgin and Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Tan. Dr. IŞIK thanked the students who organized the event, which was carried out with great effort and hard work, and also thanked the instructors and technical staff who contributed to the success of the event. Stating that the event will evolve into a more comprehensive and different concept in the future, Dr. IŞIK expressed that it is a source of pride to have enthusiastic students working in the light of science. It was emphasized that the university's efforts to provide students with practical experiences through such events will continue.
